Designed for LSU's XR Studio, Fractal Space is an interactive visual experience that is driven through the viewer's arm movement.

The viewer controls the tiling of the visual, and with some added randomness the resulting visual is a kaliedoscope of bright colors.

Phase 01: Concept

I hadn't done anything with fractals before, so my first step was to find a basic fractal workflow for touchdesigner.

Phase 02: Design
After I had gotten the base for my Touchdesigner graph, I went in and started to fine-tune the design. I wanted something colorful and fluid.Â

I also added the Mediapipe Tox to create motion controls.

After building the experience at my desk, I set it up on our LED wall with an Orbbec Femto camera.Â
